The Journey
Years prior to 1872, Late Vaidyaraj Shri Krushnashastri Puranik sowed the seeds of Ayurveda Aushadhi Nirman at Panvel, near Mumbai. Later his son, Late Vaidyaraj Shri Vishnushastri Puranik, was inspired to start Shree Dhootapapeshwar Aryaushadhi Karkhana. With the greatest sensitivity to ancient textual description, he focused on manufacturing extremely efficacious medicines and standardised the formulae to the satisfaction of Ayurveda Vaidyas along with nationwide distribution. He ensured that the quality of these medicines was consistently adhered to in every batch.

2nd Gen: Late Vaidyaraj Shri Vishnushastri Puranik (1864-1914)
3rd Gen: Late Shri Rambhau Krushnashastri Puranik (1914-1933)
4th Gen: Late Vaidyaraj Shri Gangadhar Vishnushastri Puranik (1933-1967)
5th Gen: Shri Mahadev Vishnu Puranik (1967 till now)

My best memory
150 years is too long a period for a single standpoint
My dream
To see that Ayurveda achieves its potential as a primary health care choice, not only in India but across the world. The basic principles of Ayurveda as a way of life are also as accepted as Ayurveda as a science of life.
My goal
Service to Ayurveda is service to mankind. My intention is to deliver a cure to the ailing, whilst promoting and preserving health.
Message to Youngsters
Continue this knowledge festival with the scriptures, to get more and more from the same stock of understanding. Live, talk and walk Ayurveda, as active life is but a few decades and there is much preparation and much thereafter, which leaves very little time to really sparkle our own ambition.
