    Vaidyaratnam Pandit D. Gopalacharyulu - Shree Ayurvedic Multispecialty Hospital in Chennai

    Inspired by a Legacy

    The Ayur World Forum draws inspiration from Vaidyaratna Pandit D. Gopalacharlu (1873–1936), a visionary Ayurvedic physician who gained international recognition for his pioneering work in medical care. His contributions from establishing Ayurvedasramam Pvt Ltd in 1898 to being conferred with rare titles such as “Ayurveda Martanda” and “Vaidyaratna”, continue to guide us even today. The Forum is our way of honouring his mission and carrying Ayurveda into the future.

    Personal Achievements of Pandit D. Gopalacharlu

    1. Received education at Mysore Maharaja’s Ayurveda Patashala – Mysore  
    2. Acquired the title of ‘Ayurveda Vaidya Shiromani’ in 1893  
    3. Undertook All-India tour spreading awareness of Ayurveda  
    4. Received a gold medal from Gadwal Maharani for his services in combating the plague  
    5. Conferred with the rare title of “ Bhishagamani” & “Ayurveda Martanda” in 1907  
    6. Honoured with the title, “Vaidyaratna” in 1913 by then British Viceroy, Lord Hardinge of Penshurst

    Why Ayur World Forum?

    On the 150th birth anniversary of Vaidyaratna Pandit D. Gopalacharlu, the Shree Ayurvedic Group launched the Ayur World Forum – a platform dedicated to uniting Ayurvedic doctors, researchers, manufacturers, therapists, and institutions under one umbrella. 

    The Forum is built on the belief that Ayurveda is not just a medical science, but a living tradition that thrives when practitioners and innovators come together.
