The Journey of Gautam Ayurveda and Health Care
History
My great grandfather was a saint. He did not have any degree. He used to serve the cows and used to give medicine to everyone in the whole village. At that time, he had received a letter from the Prime Minister’s Office and received the title of Vaidya from the government. I believe that Ayurveda should be taught like Ayurveda. I started teaching Samhita to Ayurvedic
students from 2010 and today I am a teacher myself. The challenge came, I had to leave the work of goldsmith. There was a problem of money but I wanted to empower Ayurveda, this is my goal.

Your inspiration to choose Ayurveda
When I was pursuing my internship, a patient’s mother came at 2 o’clock in the night and tole me that her daughter had to be delivered. She was not willing to go to the hospital. I agreed and performed a normal delivery. I got Rs.1500 for the same.
Few words about your Guru

Personal Vision
Global recognition of Ayurveda as a pure medical science. I personally feel that Ayurveda should be the first line option for treatment, incorporating all the virtues and technical aspects, which the system of Modern medicine has achieved over centuries.
Message to Youngsters
Deep learning and scientific practice of Ayurveda in its purest form – This is the message I would like to propagate among the budding physicians. The young doctors must learn from the past masters, the importance of possessing faith and confidence in the intrinsic capabilities of Classical Ayurveda, and at the same time try to widen the scope of Ayurveda, imbibing the modern trends of the medical world.
